We are a “Finishing School” because a finishing school offers so much more than external appearance training.  Finishing Schools were created to train children and youth, after they had gone through the academic part of their education, in “social graces”, thus preparing them to move through life with both academic and social know how. Wonderfully Made has taken this concept of a finishing school, included the positive values of past generations, and combined it with 21st Century technology.  The result?  Life changing programs geared toward having a healthy perspective on “the right balance” of the inner and outer person.

Why We Teach Social Skills

Children and youth are bombarded with many negative messages about who they are.  As a result, many children and youth do not like or love themselves.  The school systems, both private and public, along with other social and civic organizations are challenged to counteract the negative impact that the media and society has on our children and youth and their attitudes about themselves and others.  Many schools and organizations have enrichment programs that focus on character building.  Yet another important but often overlooked factor of character building is teaching young girls, especially, how to love and like themselves as well as instilling social skills that help them develop more self-confidence and common courtesy.
